Do I get free shipping on my order?
Most orders over $99 ship for free within the lower 48 states. Phone service is no problem, but orders placed by phone are subject to standard freight charges. There are a few items on the website that do not quailfy for free shipping:Used windsurfing boards and a couple of large size booms. For items like this, shipping cost will apply based on the shipping address. Basically, if the order is for a large shipment like a used windsurfing board, count on freight being about $150. You can always contact us for details.


What is the freight charge on orders under $100?
Web orders below $100 will be subject to a shipping & handling fee of $9.95 when shipping standard freight within the lower 48 states.

What is Standard Freight Service?

Standard shipping is a 5 day service typically using UPS, FedEx and DHL freight carriers, however, OAS reserves the right to select the best (fastest/ least expensive) carrier for any given shipment.

Is there a faster shipping option?

Most products are available via Priority shipping which is a 3 day service typically using UPS or FedEx. Priority shipping is subject to a per/item shipping charge. Ocean Air reserves the right to select the best (fastest/ least expensive) carrier for any given Priority shipment within the constraints of ‘3-Day Service.’

What are the per/item shipping charges and availability for Priority shipping?
Windsurfing/ Boards- No Priority shipping
Windsurfing/ Sails, Masts. Booms- $20 each
Windsurfing/ Bases, Exts., Fins, Parts- $10 each
Kiteboarding/ Kites, Boards- $20 each

When will my order ship?
We do our best to get your order processed as soon as possible. Depending on when we receive your order, it ususally ships within 24-48 hours. If we get your order early, it is likely to ship that day.

What are the freight charges for order outside the lower 48 United States?

Orders outside of the lower 48 United States are subject to additional freight and duty charges. Please submit your order and we will respond to you within 2 business days with the cheapest possible freight option for your SHIP TO address. Upon confirmation, you will be billed for freight as a separate charge. Ocean Air will take care to ensure that customers are aware of all costs associated with each order. OA will not falsify invoices. The customer is responsible for all duty & brokerage fees.

I live outside the area but I will be in Hatteras next month, can I buy online and pick up at the OA store?
Of course! We will keep your gear safe and secure for you to pick up. Skip the hassle, come to Hatteras & have your gear waiting for you! What more could you ask for?

As soon as your order leaves our warehouse you will receive tracking information via email.

Can I book a Lesson or a Camp online?
To book a lesson, simply contact us by phone or email. We're currently using the website as a way to give you the information needed to choose the right lesson.

What is your return policy?
Customer satisfaction is our goal. If for any reason you are dissatisfied with your purchase, please contact us within 30 days for a Return Authorization. Undamaged/ un-used merchandise returned to OA at the customer’s expense will be subject to a full refund.

Is the used equipment in good condition?
The demo gear we have available on the web is in either good or excellent condition. We don’t want to complicate things by selling you something that you might not be happy with. Feel free to contact us with questions.

What about discounts on equipment?

The prices you find listed on our website are the prices. We’ve gone to great lengths to ensure that our prices are the most competitive available. If you have a specific pricing question, please feel free to contact us.

WARRANTY
What is your Warranty Policy?
We are here to facilitate manufacturer's warrantys for the premium products we sell. If you have a warrantee issue with any product purchased from OA, simply contact us. Digital photos will help us to determine the best course of action. Depending on the product and circumstance, we may or may not have an immediate resolution for you, but we will work to resolve the issue quickly with the appropriate manufacturer.

What do I need to do to start a warrantee claim?
If you purchased the product from OA, please contact us immediately with any warrantee concerns you have. Send digital photos and a description of the problem, along with your contact information and (hopefully) a digital photo of your receipt. We will need to know the Make, Model, size and serial number of the product in question.
