OceanAir Sports is a family owned and operated business catering to those interested in the watersports lifestyle. You will continue to find the same helpful staff, the same great location, and of course the best gear available.  This shop has serviced locals and travelers to Cape Hatteras for 25 years now!  There have been many changes in the past, but what remains the same is that the staff is dedicated to providing you with helpful insight in gear sales, rentals, lessons, where to sail or kite, what to see and what to do while you are here.  We have great conditions here, and seemingly unlimited places to launch.  Whether you have been with us for the past 25 years, or planning your first visit to Hatteras, this area continues to be the East Coast Mecca for windsurfing and kiteboarding, and there is good reason why people come back every year.

OceanAir is more than just a store, it’s a complete watersports center located in the heart of Hatteras Island , right on the Pamlico Sound .  OA offers the ultimate watersports experience: Windsurfing, Kiteboarding, Kayaking, Sailing and Surfing, are all right outside the doors of the shop. No wind? No Problem! Go surfing, paddle a kayak, Stand Up Paddle Board, or buzz around on our Yamaha Waverunners. Or swing in the store and use our free wireless hotspot to check your email while watching the latest videos on our 70” big screen TV.  Land lovers can shop in comfort while watching the on-water action through our waterside view.
