I'm Reviewing: 4th Turnout
2007 North Vegas
Reviewer: Brian Klauser
Date: January 18, 2007
I was reluctant to give up my 2006 Vegas kites because they worked so well for me. My mind was put at ease once I tried the new 07 Vegas. Incredible responsiveness and fast turning gets you going in lighter winds, and superior depowering lets you ride in control when the wind picks up. Right out of the bag I had nice lofty jumps, huge pop for no flick back rolls and front rolls, and an overall smoothness that felt great.

I'm Reviewing: 2009 Freestyle Fish
2009 North Freestyle Fish
Reviewer: Chris Rutledge

Got a chance to try out the new 2009 Freestyle Fish in some decent NE winds and 2-3 foot of surf. The first thing I noticed was the solid construction,
very kush foot pads, and sweet fins on the new board. I chose to ride the board strapless and try out the "sky hooks", which allow you to jump without straps and they worked really well. The board felt smooth and floaty, and you could really relax and ride. One of my first thoughts was how easy it was to ride and how someone transitioning from windsurfing would really enjoy it. I was jibing both ways, moving my feet all over the wide deck of the board. The board proved to be very versatile in the waves, drawing nice long lines, yet snappy when you wanted to hit a lip. I would highly recommend giving one a go.

Really a great kite. Very stable in gusty winds and pulls better than my 16M Waroo. The best purchase of my 5 kites.

The 2010 North Rebel yet again is improved with updated handling, stability and range. Of all the 2010 kites I have tested the Rebel remains the benchmark. 5 line kites may not be for everyone, but as far as safety, stability and depower, this is my go to kite for all conditions.

I'm Reviewing:
2010 North Rebel
Reviewer: Chris Rutledge
Date: October 29, 2009
New Rebels are here!!! Been getting some great sessions on the 10M, it seems like that is all I ride anymore. The kites great range makes it the go to kite 90% of the time for my size. Rode it in some bombing side-off NW surf and it performed so well when racing the wave down the line. The kite loops and pivots so nicely when chasing down a wall or when you need an extra shot to make a section. The stability and predictability are a must in the Hatteras surf, I haven't seen the kite luff, flutter, or flinch once. We also got an insane session in some strong NE winds with mixed NE/SE swell, which made for some serious ramps. One of my favorite things to still do is see an on coming ramp and just send it. The new Rebel did not disappoint with it's atmospheric boosting, and easy landings. Stoked to be on the new kite this time of the year with more waves on the way.
