Finally a great high wind board that I can control. The board plans fast, is stable, easy to turn and all around fun to sail!

I'm Reviewing: Long Island
2007 North Ice
Reviewer: Mike Burns, WH Team Rider
Date: October 31, 2006
Just when you think the sails can't get any better, here comes the 2007 Ice. They have a very similar feel to the 2006 sails being very smooth and predictable. They seem to have a slightly larger range with even more low end grunt than last year without sacrificing any top end. There is a very direct response that you'll never have in other sails.
I use the Ice for my sails of 5.3 and down for freestyle and wave conditions. No matter what type of sailing you're into, the Ice will blow you away.

I'm reviewing the 2007 Mistral Joker.
Call the doctor because I have spocks coming out the wazoo!!!
This is not only the nicest Joker ever, but the nicest freestyle board I've ever sailed! It may be smaller in volume than last years Joker, but my concerns about the 7 less liters for 2007 were put to ease when I pumped up onto a plane in less than 12 knots, with my 5.9 Duke. It planes up even earlier than the 2006, which I didn't think was possible. I'm 165 lbs and was sailling flat water. Today I sailed it with a 4.2 in 30 knots and was just fine in flat water.
The new joker is more dedicated to freestyle this year, but is very comfortable sailing along in a straight line. For those up for some aerial tricks, spocks, grubbies, flakas and everything else you can name became much easier on the '07 compared any other board I've ever sailed.
I've only had 2 chances to sail it so far, but I can already see that the 2007 Joker has easily become everything I've wanted in a freestyle board.
I really can't say a bad thing about the board.
Get one while you can!!!!!

The 2007 Duke is one powerful sail. North nailed the design this year. This is a do everything sail from cruising to the most difficult freestyle tricks. The sails profile stays flat during the transition but as soon as you need power the sail takes a fuller shape. I can't say enough good things about the 2007 Duke.

I'm Reviewing:
2008 North Ice
Reviewer: Scott McKay

I have 2005 North Instincts in 4.2 and 4.7, and have
really enjoyed sailing on them -- powerful and quick
and, so it seemed, very light.
But a few months ago I picked up a 5.3 North Ice.
Holy cow! What a sail! I rigged it on a 430 North
Platinum mast, and the whole rig is soooo light, it
almost felt like I was holding a toy. But on the
water, it feels amazing. Quick acceleration and
deceleration, and incredibly maneuverable. I've
used other new-model wave sails (rented from
resorts, borrowed from friends), but nothing is
close to this sail.
